NUTRITIPS | YOUR NUTRIGRILL® AS A FONDUE PARTY CENTREPIECE

Good food can light up any party. As a host, it can be very stressful to think about what dishes you can serve to your guests. Can we suggest a classic party food?

A fondue is one of the most flexible party food you can serve. With your Nutrigrill’s serving capacity of up to one litre, you can serve a big party very easily.

Turn on your Nutrigrill® to low heat, add your ingredient of choice to the moat, serve with your desired dipping ingredients, and let the feast begin.

  1. Cheese FondueWhen you think of fondue, it is hard not to imagine the classic cheese fondue.First, rub a clove of crushed garlic on the Nutrigrill® moat for added flavour before adding in your shredded cheese. Allow your cheese to melt slowly.Once melted, add in any alcohol of your choice. Alcohol not only enhances the flavour of your fondue, but also prevents your cheese fondue from curdling.

Dip in your favourite veggies, deli or pre-cooked meats, or breads.

TIP: If your fondue starts to curdle, add in some freshly squeezed lemon juice, and stir constantly until the mixture becomes smooth.

  2. Chocolate FondueYour Nutrigrill® is not out of tricks to show you: try using it as your next dessert centrepiece by turning it into a chocolate fondue pot.Simply simmer your cream, add a few tablespoons of brandy and unsalted butter, and lastly add your chocolate shavings. Stir until melted and blended well.Turn down the heat to a warming temperature, and serve with chilled fruits, cookies, shortbread, or chips.

    TIP:
Working with chocolate can be tricky. Watch the temperature, never allow your mixture to boil, and keep stirring.

  3. Meat FondueWith the Nutrigrill®, you have the option to serve a main course fondue due to the moat’s high heat capacity. You may choose to make a beef, pork, or seafood fondue. To prepare, cut your meat into small, bite-size pieces. For raw meats, trim the fat, and marinate if desired. Store in the fridge until you’re ready to cook. Before adding in your meat, dry them thoroughly on a paper towel. Toss the meat with one tablespoon of any oil of your choice.

Preheat your broth to 375º. Add in your meat, and keep the broth at a low boil until its desired doneness.

TIP: Keep your broth consistent with your meat of choice, i.e. use beef broth when making beef fondue. Cooking with wine can work well with seafood, as well.

What normally is a solitary task of cooking can become a social activity – this is one of the best things about your Nutrigrill® Electric Table Top Barbecue.
